I've mentioned my Coloristiq boxes in previous posts. For those who are not familiar, it's a monthly subscription box where you rent nail polish. You make up a wish list of shades you like and each month you are sent 3 at random from your list to try out for a month before you send them back. You can use them 3 times each (2 coats for each application) so that's plenty of time to give them a fair test. I love trying out shades I wouldn't necessarily buy without wasting money.
I had some great colours to get me ready for Spring this month and I tried a new brand of nail polish too. Here's a look at the shades in this months box-
Coloristiq are always adding new lines to their collection and when I saw the bright Spring 2015 'Road Trip' collection from China Glaze I had to add a couple to my wish list. This is Dashboard Dreamer -a brand new pale blue with subtle shimmer to it. It's very pretty when the light catches it - lovely for sunny days like we've been having lately!
Oh I do love me some neon! I've not tried any Morgan Taylor polishes before and this one is so bright and striking! They have a great selection of brights, I actually think everything on my wish list from them is a form of neon! This bright neon pink is excellently named Pink Flame-ingo, it lasted a really long time too so I'm keen to try some more from Morgan Taylor.
OPI Chillin' Like a Villain is a nude-peach which kind of disappointed me. I thought it was going to be much brighter but it's just a pale peach colour. It's a nice shade but nothing exciting really. I think it washed my hands out a little too. I actually found the formula a tiny bit streaky too. It's not too bad but it didn't 'wow' me.
I've had an email to say my next box is on it's way and I know there are some great shades to play with. I look forward to seeing what I have to try out next.
What do you think of a nail polish rental box?
