GOSH Stardust collection

GOSH cosmetics are impressing me more and more. I've mentioned in the past how much I loved their Frosted Nail Lacquers and how incredibly affordable they are. I find with Gosh they offer such unique colours that other brands haven't thought of. This season they have released a great range of pearly nail lacquers in their Stardust collection which is new for 2014.

I've tried out 4 of the 5 available which are all on a grey scale. They start at a fine shimmery opal shade moving up to a dark sparkly black.

Stardust is more of a top coat to add a bit of shimmer. It's packed with tiny flakes of blue and lilac sparkle that cover the whole nail easily with one coat. It can be worn on its own if built up a bit but I think it looks gorgeous on top of a dark colour, particularly on greys as the particles really reflect and make your nails look almost metallic.

Milky Way is not like any colour I've tried before, it's a blue toned grey with a subtle shimmer. It needs 2 coats. It's so lovely and the extra coat makes all the difference, it's instantly transformed from a bit of a wishy-washy grey to a bold pearlescent blue-grey shade that I LOVE! It's moved on from the pastel shades of the Summer ever so slightly and made it more fitting for this time of year.  It's definitely my favourite of the bunch.

Think of the tin man and you get Moonlight. The silver shade is rather futuristic and looks great when wearing black or denim, it's a great contrast. At first it seems really subtle but the second coat gives you a strong foil look. A third coat makes it complete opaque but the slight sheerness to it looks great too.

Night Sky is the darkest of the collection. It's a glossy black with tiny silvery flakes in it. You only need 2 coats for a lovely dark nail with something a little special. It's a great twist on the basic black nail.

These stunning nail polishes are only £3.99 at Superdrug and are currently Buy one get one half price.

  2. Milky Way is such a pretty one! I haven't tried GOSH for a while, I might have to have a look at their range again soon
