a few questions to pass the time

If you hadn't noticed, whenever I get stuck for post ideas, I turn to a quiz...

What was the first make up product you ever bought?I have no idea, I probably got something free with something like 'Shout' magazine. The oldest thing I remember buying some green eyeshadow and convincing myself I could make it look amazing.

Where would you most like to visit?
I've got a list of places, but I'll definitely be going back to Mexico at some point.

If you could be any celebratory for a day who would it be?
Christina Aguilera, just so I can have a play in her shoe room

How do you relax/unwind?
Go for a walk (if its nice out) have a bath, paint my nails

Where do you work?
A photo make over studio in Farringdon.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I love London so much, so still here, but more central. Until I have a family (and dog) then I'll go to Surrey or Sussex. I want a place by the sea too though, I don't ask for much!

Your favourite websites?
I'm on ASOS quite a bit, and obviously Facebook (which clearly gives me rage far more than it should!) and Twitter

short but sweet, eh?!

a few favourites

So due to my boredom, I'm on here and I thought I'd share my thoughts on a few beauties I've found recently.

Totally loving Benefits Sugar bomb, now being the tan addict I am, I usually stick to the good old Hoola but figured I should try something new, and this blusher is really nice! I feel like I have such a healthy glow when it's on. best £23 I've spent (+ boots points!)

I also tried to give the new John Frieda Root Awakening shampoo/conditioner a go. I'm not loving the smell (reminds me a bit of centre parks, if you've ever been there!) but it's really sorting my hair out! There's definitely some goodness in there. I usually choose my shampoo based on how nice it smells but I now realise it's not all about the smell. Seriously, give it a go!

I tried out Hawaiian tropics self tan, again, I was basing this purchase on the smell! I assumed that it would have the usual Hawaiian tropic sun lotion smell, all coco nutty and smelling of holidays! But no, it just smells of fake tan. The colour is nice, but I wasn't impressed with how long it took to dry. Don't think I'll be getting it again.

And my most recent find, Barry M' nail paint in 'Pink Flamingo' I actually think it's been around for a while but it's taking me away to discover this one. It's like a pinky coral, almost a salmon really. Basically a great spring colour.

Ahh I'm so excited that summer is on it's way, will have to do some holiday shopping soon!

That's something I can do, I'll start writing a list!

Hi, my name is Jenn

Never in my life have I been: good at sitting still for long.

The one person who can drive me nuts is: Max!

High school: Had it's moments but I'd love to do it again, the last 2 years anyway.

If I were to get married right now my best man/maid of honour: would be someone I can trust who knows me better than I know myself and has always been there for me.

My hair is:
too blonde at the moment, it needs sorting!

When I was 5: I was a brat, really! I saw a home video recently and I now realise why my younger brother was favourite, anything was adorable compared to me!

Last Christmas: Was brilliant, Christmas's are so much better now I don't live at home. Going back to visit feels so much more special.

I should be..: much richer, I would spend it so SO wisely!

When I look down I see: beautiful shoes

The happiest recent event was: getting some major recognition at work.

If I were a character on ‘Friends’ I’d be: Rachel. Her love life is like mine, all wrong timings!

Nickname: Legs

My current gripe is: Not being tanned enough! I want the sun to come out!

I have a hard time understanding: what we did before Google!

There’s this girl I know that: has a huge forehead and annoys the hell out of me at work!

Take my advice: Most things look better with a tan

The thing I want to buy: A new camera, but the one I want doesn't seem to be in any shops and I want to play with it!

If you visited the place I was born: You would see a row of phoneboxes falling over.

If you spent the night at my house: You'd probably end up playing singstar

I’d stop my wedding if: My Dad couldn't make it

The world could do without: religion, it's caused too many problems.

I’d rather lick the belly of a cockroach than:
stop buying shoes!

Most recent thing I’ve bought myself: You guessed it, shoes! 2 pairs, nude patent heels from Aldo and bright pink ones from Carvela. I love them!

Most recent thing someone else bought me:
Max bought me some flowers the other day.

In the morning I:
like to get up, I hate sleeping past mid-day, even if I need it. I'll sleep when I'm dead.

Once, at a bar: I thought Nasty Nigel from Popstars was Michael Cane and he bought me a glass of champagne. -Oooh it rhymes!

There’s this guy I know who: is running the Paris marathon on Sunday, he's my brother and he's awesome!

A better name for me would be: Mrs Schu, so I need to marry Mr Shuman from Glee

Tomorrow I am: Going to work then sorting out everything ready to go to Paris in the morning.

Well, that was fun. Always a pleasure!

Our holiday to Cuba is fast approaching, and it's that time of year again, spring has sprung! Time to bust out the fake tan. I mean, I've never stepped away from it completely, I've mainly been using the tanning moisturiser to avoid looking like a corpse (take note, Nicola from Girls Aloud!) I've never really been a fan of the pale an interesting look, but it's time to step it up a notch.

The new spray mist by loreal was ok, just not dark enough for me, I love my sublime bronze tinted gel, but it doesn't last me very long as the bottle hasn't got much in it.

I'm tempted to try out the Xen Tan, or Fake bake as I've heard so many good things. But I don't want to risk paying the money for something I just don't get on with. And there's so many of them!! I don't know where to start!

Ahhh dilemmas!

Walking on sunshine

...and don't it feel good?!!

Something about the sun being out just puts me in a great mood, and for a Monday morning that's pretty good going!

It might not even be that warm out there (I'm yet to find out) but it does mean spring is on its way! SO exciting!
I'm even taking sunglasses with me to work -though this probably will jinx the sun and it will go behind the clouds, much like if I take an umbrella it doesn't rain -I'm not so annoyed by this one!
I think I will have to start getting some new spring/summer clothes (any excuse) and will need to crack open those work out dvds soon!
 it's SUNNY! wooo!

I got sent one of my favourite mascaras today. Lorel sent me the 'Extra Volume Collagen' as I'd won it after filling in a survey (not that I remember doing it! -I do so many of those things without thinking!)

It would have been extra brilliant if I hadn't only just bought a new one! grrrr!

O well, it's not like it won't get used!

Last night I had a breakdown

I'd had an emotional day anyway, I'd had a hectic day a work and was feeling extremely exhausted.

I got home and got changed, while taking my top of I noticed a mark across my stomach, it resembled a very big stretch mark, I was not happy! I've not had kids, or gained weight to my knowledge, in my state I was thinking 'well I was pretty bloated the other day' so I had a bit of a cry that was needed anyway due to the stressful day. Later on I looked again, it was gone, turned out it was just a mark where my top had been tucked into my skirt and had left a sort of print.

oh it's funny looking back but I was traumatised!

xmas and New Year Rundown

I thought I'd do a little xmas/New years run down, it was a pretty busy one so there was no time for blogging, I will try to be brief!

So first there was the work Xmas party.
As I mentioned before I'd ordered a dress from asos specially for it, and they sent me the wrong bloody one! annoying...So I wore an old one instead, and I got lots of compliments so it all worked out ok. Plus they have now sent me the correct dress, so I need an excuse to go out soon! :)

The Party itself was good, really nice place and everyone looked stunning.

Christmas was spent at my Mum and Dads and it was great to go there as a guest, every other Christmas I've lived there so it was actually nice to go and visit for a few days.

I got some lovely presents including these:

and this

New year's eve was spent in a big mansion up in Lincoln. A friend of ours works there at a sort of childrens adventure weekend place (where they do high ropes, kayaking etc) and as it was out of season the staff were there but visitors weren't, which meant we had the big place all to ourselves and pick of the rooms. All it cost us was the cost of petrol to get there and the drink we brought with us. It was great night.

So that's pretty much it,
here's to an equally eventful 2010!
