a few favourites

So due to my boredom, I'm on here and I thought I'd share my thoughts on a few beauties I've found recently.

Totally loving Benefit's Sugar Bomb blush, now being a fan of a good fake tan, I usually stick to the good old Hoola and see that as enough colour for my face but figured I should branch out a bit. This blush is really nice! I feel like I have such a healthy glow when it's on and gives a lovely bit of colour to my face. best £23 I've spent (+ boots points makes it feel like you are getting a bonus too!)

I also tried to give the new John Frieda Root Awakening shampoo/conditioner a go. I'm not loving the smell (it reminds me a bit of Centre parks, if you've ever been there you'll know what I mean!) but it's really sorting my hair out! There's definitely some goodness in there. I usually choose my shampoo based on how nice it smells but I now realise it's not all about the smell. Seriously, give it a go!

I tried out Hawaiian tropics self tan, again, I was basing this purchase on the smell! I assumed that it would have the usual Hawaiian tropic sun lotion smell, all 'coco nutty' and smelling of holidays! But no, it just smells of fake tan. The colour is nice, but I wasn't impressed with how long it took to dry. Don't think I'll be getting it again.

And my most recent find, Barry M' nail paint in 'Pink Flamingo'. I actually think it's been around for a while but it's taking me away to discover this one. It's like a pinky coral, almost a salmon really. Basically a great spring colour and I know this will be a favourite of mine for a long time.

Ahh I'm so excited that summer is on it's way, will have to do some holiday shopping soon!

That's something I can do, I'll start writing a list!

Tantastic

Our holiday to Cuba is fast approaching, and it's that time of year again, spring has sprung! Time to bust out the fake tan. I mean, I've never stepped away from it completely, I've mainly been using the tanning moisturiser to avoid looking like a corpse. I've never really been a fan of the pale an interesting look, but it's time to step it up a notch. I need a glow!

The new spray mist by loreal was ok, just not dark enough for me, I love my sublime bronze tinted gel, but it doesn't last me very long as the bottle hasn't got much in it.

I'm tempted to try out the Xen Tan, or Fake bake as I've heard so many good things. But I don't want to risk paying the money for something I just don't get on with. And there's so many of them!! I don't know where to start!

Ahhh dilemmas!

WINNER!

I got sent one of my favourite mascaras today. Lorel sent me the 'Extra Volume Collagen' as I'd won it after filling in a survey (not that I remember doing it! -I do so many of those things without thinking!)

It would have been extra brilliant if I hadn't only just bought a new one! grrrr!

O well, it's not like it won't get used!

xmas and New Year Rundown

I thought I'd do a little xmas/New years run down, it was a pretty busy one so there was no time for blogging, I will try to be brief!

So first there was the work Xmas party.
As I mentioned before I'd ordered a dress from asos specially for it, and they sent me the wrong bloody one! annoying...So I wore an old one instead, and I got lots of compliments so it all worked out ok. Plus they have now sent me the correct dress, so I need an excuse to go out soon! :)

The Party itself was good, really nice place and everyone looked stunning.

Christmas was spent at my Mum and Dads and it was great to go there as a guest, every other Christmas I've lived there so it was actually nice to go and visit for a few days.

I got some lovely presents including these:

New year's eve was spent in a big mansion up in Lincoln. A friend of ours works there at a sort of childrens adventure weekend place (where they do high ropes, kayaking etc) and as it was out of season the staff were there but visitors weren't, which meant we had the big place all to ourselves and pick of the rooms. All it cost us was the cost of petrol to get there and the drink we brought with us. It was great night.

So that's pretty much it,
here's to an equally eventful 2010!
