St Tropez Extra Dark Review

I've tried a lot of tans over the years. I guess it's something the girls and guys of my generation grew up with. Looking tanned was essential for a night out and it's now become a routine in party preparation. Various health issues mean I can look pretty pasty at times so I rely on fake tan to keep me looking alive and less see-through!

I was chosen to review St Tropez Extra Dark Self Tan which excited me a lot. I've always purchased the tans on the 'darker' end of the spectrum in the hope that I actually get a noticeable result. Previously this has only been achievable with a couple of brands and it usually takes a couple of coats. I was excited to give this one a go and I had high hopes.

St Tropez is one of my favourite brands, if I want a colour quickly I use their Express tan that is really great and develops in one hour.
It's definitely not your budget tan, at £33 it's one of the more expensive on the high street. I am a firm believer that you don't have to spend a fortune to get good results but I do see a reason to splash out on this.

It's in a good quality bottle that you know won't break open and leak everywhere and the push down dispenser gives you just the right amount of product at a time. I find it really easy to apply and I was really impressed with how easily the mousse smoothed on. It's a really light and creamy formula and it instantly made my skin looked airbrushed and moisturised. Some tans can feel drying straight away but this really felt like it was giving my skin some hydration too. The guide colour is pretty dark at first but when smoothed out a bit it's a golden brown.

It dried fairly quickly considering it was such a warm night and there was no strong 'fake tan' smell. You can rinse it off after 4 hours bit I like to leave mine on overnight. I didn't transfer on my sheets but did rub off on the band of my pjs. I hear their Purity range is great for avoiding this.
In the morning I rinsed it off and there was a lot of tan going down the drain. I was slightly concerned that there would be no colour left!

But I was pleasantly surprised that I was left with a deep, golden colour that looked really natural. It was really even and had no streaks at all, I think the guide colour helped with this as you could easily see where you were applying it. It looks amazing. Although I have missed a tiny patch on the back of my foot cos I'm a total wally (and I was watching Love Island while I applied it!).

The colour is definitely dark but not scary dark. It gave me the look that applying 2/3 layers of other fake tans would give me so not only does it save me time, the bottle will last me longer too.

It's the perfect time of year to use this while it's heating up so a deep tan won't look out of place.

I'm off on holiday in 3 weeks so I will be applying this before I go so I arrive with a gorgeous glow.

Superdrug have over £10 off their St Tropez products at the moment so now is the time to try this out.

Personally Presented - Travelling with the Greatest Showman

Wow! it's been hot this week. I'm not usually one to complain but when I've walked home from the school run carrying all kinds of bags (it's always the day the PE kit comes home when I've decided to walk, isn't it?) and then had to cook dinner (which no matter how hard I try, always involves turning the oven on!) it's when I long to be in a pool somewhere with a cold drink in my hand.

Generally speaking we are all so much happier when it's sunny but that sunshine is 100% better when on holiday. I'm counting down to our family holiday this year and it's now only a matter of weeks away. I've been tempted to start packing but that might be slightly premature. You can bet your Boots advantage points that I'll be writing list upon lists on all the miniature toiletries I need to pick up though!
I love a good list to keep me organised - I even have lists of new lists... it might be a problem.

That's the thing, holiday prep was fairly easy in the past, I'd throw everything in my case and head to Gatwick in my biggest heaviest shoes in the hope that my luggage wouldn't go over the limit. Since becoming a Mum I have to have a little more structure, I have to make sure I've catered for every situation for both (/all - let's be honest I'll be organising most of Sam's stuff too!) of us.

My hand luggage is a mixture of spare clothes, pencils, sticker books, games and gadgets and even a travel Connect Four in an attempt to lure him away from one of the many screens and create this picture perfect parent life we're all led to believe is achievable.

With the bag being full of everything apart from the kitchen sink it can be hard to keep track of the most important bits ... my make up. I JOKE, I KID! I mean the passports and tickets of course.

I was kindly asked to pick a product from the Personally Presented website.
They have a whole range of gorgeous personalised products which not only make great gifts but are actually things that you'll use! They are a family run company and believe in gifts that are worth giving, a gift that is as unique and individual as they are.

With the airport mania on the horizon the travel document holder was a no brainer for me. It looked like it would really help to keep everything in one place. It's a gorgeous leather holder with pockets inside to hold passports, boarding passes, cards, cash and even a pen which is rather handy - I can never find a pen when I need one.

Like everything else on the site it is personalised. With this particular design you have 3 lines of 20 characters so that's plenty to get creative with. Like most of the UK right now our family is obsessed with the Greatest Showman and  the song 'A Million Dreams' means a lot to us on a few levels so that was the quote I went for. When this was delivered I handed it to Sam and Mason to open and they both had a huge smile on their faces when they saw the line from the song. That is the beauty of something personalised, you can make the most simple of objects something really meaningful.

Big occasions like graduations, weddings or baby showers can be tricky to buy for but there are some lovely little keepsake boxes, personalised bracelets and trinkets that tick all the boxes.

They've covered pretty much all bases, there's gifts for the home like personalised chopping boards and key hooks which make perfect housewarming gifts. I really love the breakfast in bed tray and the cheese board is great for any cheese lovers like myself!

If you're stuck for any kind of gift I'd definitely recommend you give this place a try as I can guarantee you'll find something special that puts a smile on someone's face.

Caseapp Giveaway!

Anyone that knows me will tell you that I'm much more of a Summer girl. The first hint of sun and I' doing the school run in a vest top and I'm soaking up that vitamin D!

This is why it was totally out of character that I still had a Christmas themed phone case on my iPhone. Usually  as soon as Christmas is over I'm counting down to longer days and getting some flights booked.

So when Caseapp got in touch asking if I would like to make my own custom iphone case I saw that as fate telling me to sort my bloody life out. It was time to update my phone case at least. It's been fun Christmas case, but it's June and it's time for us to part ways mate.

All I knew was that I needed a case that was more suitable to this time of year, and thankfully Caseapp had loads to choose from. I love a good window shop so I really enjoyed browsing. There's hundreds of great designs like marble prints, animals, hearts, flowers and flags if you're feeling patriotic (perfect timing for the world cup!).

You can upload your own images to create something personal or go for a pre-made design. It's all so customisable so you can get something you really like.

You can upload any picture you want, you can make a photo or collage or even have a little scroll through pinterest to find a quote you love for some inspiration. I used to have a Disney themed case which worked out really well when M was little as it meant he looked right at my phone when taking pictures of him - a very handy tip there!

I opted for a marble background and used a few of their 'clip arts' along with a picture from our holiday to Greece last year.

It was so easy to make and I had a great time creating it, I love stuff like this and it was nice to make something really unique and personal to me. I really like the overall look and it feels very me. The quote 'Go Live' really speaks to me at the moment - I'm all about creating memories and having experiences. As the great Jack Dawson said 'Life's a gift and I don't intend on wasting it.'

You can chose a glossy or matte finish, I went for matte as I prefer it. The case is really sturdy, I was really impressed with the quality- my iPhone is protected and it looks great too!

Now it's not just for iPhones, you can create a case for a range of phones including HTC, Nokia, Samsung and OnePlus. I was also able to make a new MacBook skin.

This was another one I created myself and I used to logo from our new little business venture. Anyone that follows my Instagram will see me mentioning the PacVan which is a popup gaming cinema. Basically we bring everything you need for an evening of gaming with your mates to play where ever you want. There's a big screen loads of games to choose from and we can create tournaments or basically just leave you all to it. It's perfect for parties, stag do's and weddings.

If you can't do a shameless plug on your own blog where can you?!

 but ANYWAY...

It was great to be able to customise the MacBook to fit in with the branding of the company and it looks great. The laptop skin is delivered in the form of a sticker that you easily peel off and apply yourself. I’m not the best at things like this so it was a two man job to apply to the laptop with Sam positioning it while I smoothed down any air bubbles. It looks SO GOOD! Imagine customising your laptop with your blog header - how professional would that look while writing in Starbucks?

It arrived in no time (only about 5 days I think!) and the package was small enough to fit through the letterbox - always a plus as I miss a surprising amount of deliveries for someone who works at home!

If you want to place and order yourself you can use code JENNIFROST20 and that will get you 20% off.

If you want to create your own custom laptop skin or phone case I've also got a little giveaway over on my Instagram. The winner gets one free product from the Caseapp website so head over if you want to be in with a chance of winning.
