Revamp your hair colour with Colour Vibe

When I was 16 I started dying my hair, I realised that dull brown wasn't right for me and I went blonde. Over the years I've tried every colour imaginable. Weekends were spent with my best friend, we would go to Starbucks then head Superdrug to pick up a box of hair dye as I fancied a change and didn't care about the damage I was doing to my hair. There were times I would dye my hair twice in one week. I didn't use hair masks or anything. Needless to say, along with regular straightening my hair was a brittle mess!

I was recently given the chance to try out Colour Vibe hair toners. They are used like a regular shampoo to revamp your hair and switch up the colour without damaging it as they contain no peroxide, no ammonia, or harsh chemicals

They are really simple to use, you just apply a handful in the shower like you would with a regular shampoo and leave it on for 5 minutes. You can leave it on longer if you want a more intense result.

I wish I had options like this back then, I would have saved my hair from years of neglect whilst still being able to experiment. There are 13 shades available including silver, pink and lilac pastel shades and more natural reds, brunettes and blondes.

It's worth noting that these don't dye your hair, they tone them so it is a temporary thing - which makes them so fun to try out. If you have bleached hair the colours are going to be more striking and you can experiment with the pastel shades.

I've tried out Ash Blonde and Ice Blonde. My hair has highlights and since it's been a while since my last trip to the salon it has got really dull recently. This opportunity really came along at the right time. I use purple shampoo to help with blonde hair once a week but this really helped brighten my hair and freshen it up. The Ice Blonde, being the paler of the two gave my highlights a real kick. Of course it did nothing to the hair that wasn't already light, you aren't going to get drastic results without bleach but it was really great on my hair that had already been dyed and removed the brassiness.

It lasts 3 washes and you can get a good 4 or 5 uses out of a bottle. For only £2.99 they are definitely worth a try. You can pick them up at Boots and at the moment they have a buy one get one half price offer so it's the perfect excuse to pick up a couple.
