Scrub Love Coffee Scrub Review

We all seem to take better care of our skin in the Summer don't we? In an attempt to prolong any tan we may obtain or keep our legs smooth the body scrubs get more use than they did in the colder months. When I was offered the chance to try out Scrub Love, an ethically sourced coffee-scrub skincare company made in the UK I was really intrigued, this was something new to me.

I have a selection of scrubs I flit between throughout the year but most are of the sugar or salt variety. I'd seen a few coffee scrubs about but this is the first one I've tried.

Scrub Love are completely natural, organic, fair-trade and Rain forest-Alliance Approved. They use the best ingredients to hydrate, soften, moisturise, nourish and polish the skin and tackle cellulite.

As well as being great to perk you up in the morning, coffee is a great natural exfoliator. It scrubs away dead cells without damaging the skin underneath and the caffeine content stimulates circulation to help heal any problem areas.

They have 3 scrubs available, all in handy resealable pouches, I'm a big fan of the polka-dot packaging and the streamlined pouch makes it easier to store than a clumpy jar. I tried out Mint Temptation which smells incredible. As soon as you open it you get a whiff of amazing peppermint which really awakens the senses.

You simply get in the shower and apply the scrub to damp skin, rub it in small circles and let it go to work. You don't have to scrub too hard at all, the granules get to work straight away and it's kind enough to use a few times a week. You can leave it to soak in for a couple of minutes to really enjoy the scent and let the oils sink in. I was really impressed with how soft my skin felt afterwards, it really was like the rough skin was scrubbed away and my skin had been given a real injection of moisturising goodness too.

Even after I used the product I took pictures a few days later for this review and only applied the scrub on one arm. After rinsing off there was a big difference between the arm that had been scrubbed and one that hadn't. That's a good old test for you right there!

So let me tell you a little more about what inside this polka dotted pouch of wonder...

Along with the organic coffee there's Peppermint Oil which has anti inflammatory and pore cleansing properties. It also contains Dead Sea Salt which is the best salt to scrub into the skin to stimulate and relax deep into the tissue. There's moisturising Argan Oil and Aloe Vera and even natures antiseptic, Tea Tree Oil which is great for soothing sore muscles too.
It's all free from artificial colours, fragrances, parabens and preservatives and they're not tested on animals.
Each pack contains 200ml of coffee scrub which lasts quite a while. I've used mine 4 times already and I'm not even half way through the pack.

One thing I will say is coffee isn't clear so expect to rinse away your shower a little afterwards - but that's really no big deal as it leaves the room smelling incredible and your skin is super soft too!

It's a huge thumbs up from me and I definitely plan to try out the coconut scent next! I can only imagine how great that one must smell!

I'd love to hear if you've tried out any coffee scrubs before.

*I was kindly gifted this scrub but all thoughts are 100% my own
