NEW Summer Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Enamel Shades

I am a big fan of neons in the Summer but they can sometimes be a bit much for every day. Pastels are always pretty, I wear them all year round but they are especially lovely with a backdrop of sunshine, picnics and beer gardens.

Bourjois have added 3 new pastel shades of their 1 Seconde Nail Enamels that are perfect for a sunny day!

These 3 bright sun-bleached colours are from the brilliantly named 2015 'Swimming Cool' collection which also includes 4 gorgeous shades of their Aqua Blush gel blusher and 6 shades of Sweet Kiss Lipgloss. I'll be writing more about them soon.

I can always tell I'll love a collection when I see them linked up next to each other and think 'I want them all!' These look great together and are perfect for me as they are just brighter than your normal pastel shades so they can take over from my neon for a while. These can take me right through to Autumn! The 1 Seconde polishes really are so simple to apply with their thick brush and quick drying gel-like formula. I've never been disappointed by them before, I really loved their grey that was released in time for Christmas.

So this seasons shades are-

Blue Lagoon which is my favourite. I love a minty shade and this is so vibrant and the name is really fitting too, it just makes me want to swim! The formula is the best on this one as it's great with only one coat -really quick and easy!

admit, orange has never been my favourite colour but Palm Peach has a lovely peach tone to it (hence the name!) and it makes it so soft and wearable. Yea it does have peach in the name but I definitely think 'orange' when I look at it. Technicalities aside, I do really like it - I love this colour on my toes at the moment.

Lastly, Pink-Etude is a really soft candy pink that has a really fresh and pretty feel to it. It is quite sheer so it needs a couple of coats but I think it's worth the extra effort.

All of these shades are beautiful alone and really pretty next to each other too!
In these swatches I used them on top of white to really make them pop. At £5.99 each it's definitely worth picking up a couple!

  4. OMG, how perfect are these shades?! The peach is not something I'd normally have gone for, but it looks great on - and it'd look great with a tan, I'm betting! xx
