June- What I Wore, Ate, Read, Watched and Used

Oooh I'm a little bit late with this one. I would be all like 'oh life just gets in the way doesn't it?' and while that is true I've mostly been slacking on the blog front due to the hot weather. I'd just rather be out there making the most of it rather than being sat at my desk. I've been getting all of my housework done in the morning as it's just too warm to be running about with the hoover in the 30 degree heat and the afternoon is spent out with Mason out and about in the sun. My name is Jenn and I'm a sun-aholic. I just love warm weather and I'm already getting sad at the the thought of it going away!

May was all about Disneyland and it was going to be tough to follow but the sun always makes me happy.
So most of June has been spent outside. Here's what I've been up to.

What I Wore-
I have pretty much lived in this outfit as it's just so breezy and cooling in this weather! Planning outdoor events in advance is always a risky one but I got a date in the diary to meet up with my London girls and when the day came around and we spent a gorgeous day in Hyde Park enjoying the sunshine. The top is a total Ebay bargain (*cough- less than £3!*) and the skirt is REALLY old - I think I wore this a lot when I was pregnant as the weather was similar then. It's all finished off with some chunky Aldo heels. Basically the whole outfit keeps me cool and I feel good in it.

What I Ate-
Our flat gets really warm and it was just too hot to cook one night (any excuse!) and Sam kindly suggested we went out for dinner when he got back from work. We had a lovely Italian alfresco and the fact that it was last minute made it feel a lot more special. A lovely carb-tactic treat on a warm evening -bliss!

What I Read-
I honestly don't think I even read a magazine last month! Awful! I need to up my reading game!

What I Watched-
I'm not one for binge-watching, I just don't have the time. I think I managed an episode and a half one night! But I literally finished Orange Is the New Black last night and I have to say I'm actually a bit disappointed. When I saw I was on the last episode I felt like they were going to tie up all the storylines really quickly as there just wasn't time for it all. Some things have been left hanging (I hate that) and I didn't like this new 'mean' Piper. The whole 'Praise Norma' storyline went on too long and was silly. Don't get me wrong, I'll be watching the next series but I was a bit let down by this one. Will anything ever be as good as Desperate Housewives?

What I Used-
I love looking bronzed in the Summer -in fact I do all year round. I'm absolutely loving this Mat Illusion Bronzer by Bourjois. It is perfect for contouring and gives a really natural glow. I find it's great to wear in the day as it's subtle and you don't look too over-done. It feels really light on the skin too which is great on a hot day and of course it smells incredible like the rest of Bourjois bronze range!

July is meant to be even hotter and we've already got loads planned. We're going out to see a show with my brother and his girlfriend, we've got BBQ's with family, picnics with friends and I can't believe some of the A/W events are starting! The Summer is going to be over before we know it and I plan on making the most of it!

Are you enjoying the hot weather or are you counting down to Christmas?

  1. I completely agree about OITNB I've got 2 episodes left to watch but nothings happened; all they seem to be doing is selling knickers and praising Norma!

  2. That meals looks DELICIOUS (currently no-carbing for my holiday so that is a killer to see haha!), and I'm glad you've enjoyed the month of sun! Long may it continue :)
