Sunkissed Rapid Tan Mousse Review

Sunkissed asked me to try out their new Rapid Tan Mousse and with the sun sticking around a lot more it meant more of my body was on show now so it was perfect timing. I don't need much of an excuse to try out a new tan anyway!

I love 1 hour  tans for when you have an unplanned night out. Picture the scene, you get a last minute invitation to go out, you have the perfect dress and then you notice it has cut-outs in the side exposing your bright white mid-riff. Big triangular patches on you waist that blind everyone as you walk past! I'm speaking from experience here! Especially as I am a lover of a crop top and with the weather being brighter I tan naturally on my arms and legs but my belly just doesn't get the tan to match the rest of my body - so faking it is a must!

The Rapid Tan only needs to be on for an hour and you have a great colour. It's a complete bargain at £4.99 and to be honest I wasn't expecting much from something so affordable. But this little beauty proves you don't have to spend a lot to get a good result.

I applied a little to my tanning mitt to avoid any staining to my palms. I did find it sprayed out a bit quick - I made a bit of a mess (and a strange squealing noise!) so I would advise to go easy with it, don't press down too hard! After a couple of pumps I got used to it and I found it a breeze to apply. The formula is pretty weightless and went on evenly, you can see where you are applying it due to the guide colour so it's easy to make sure you don't miss any spots.

There are no parabens and as it contains Aloe Vera and Vitamin E it's very moisturising. It seems that the days of an old biscuit smelling tan are long gone too as this one has a really nice sweet scent to it.

I left it on for an hour and after washing off I was left with a natural golden colour that I was really pleased with. As far as I'm aware 'Medium' is the only colour available and I do usually prefer a dark tan. However this worked brilliantly as an early tan and it certainly matched my naturally tanned body. By no means will you end up looking like you've had month in Dubai but it's perfect early on in the Summer as it's a really natural tan.

You can pick this up at the Sunkissed tan from their website and from Superdrug.
