Models Own Polish for Tans Turquoise Sea

In the past I have had a love/hate relationship with Models Own. I've found some of their nail polishes just don't last very long (on me anyway) and I get so frustrated as the colours are so pretty but I just want them to last.

I am always drawn in by their new shades, their Festival Collection looks brilliant and I was a huge lover of their Polish For Tans range last year. When I heard they were adding some new shades to the collection they sure got my attention. I love bright nails when the sun is out and brights are what Models Own do best.

Loving being the first to the party I happened to be at a Models Own Bottle Shop the day these were released. I had my nails painted with Model Own's lovely purple Hypergel shade 'Purple Glare' and with my Barry M plumpy top coat it had actually lasted a good 5 days. I was warming to Models Own again! I looked at the new Polish for Tans shades and tried a couple on my partners hand (purple is not the best base for testing out a bight polish!) and 'Turquoise Sea' was so different from any I've tried I had to pick it up.

It's a lovely vibrant blue that reminds me of swimming pools ... or Turquoise Seas as the name suggests!
It's a perfect summer shade if you're not a fan of a girly - pinky shade. They are only £5 so it's hardly breaking the bank to try them out.

With 2 coats it's perfect and I made sure I used my top coat and it's lasted brilliantly. I'm so glad I have found a way to have some Models Own back in my life. I'm welcoming the bright shades with open arms!

Are there any nail polishes you jut don't get on with?

  1. I have the same issue with models own. They have such an amazing range of colours but they just dont seem to last on me. I may have to try them with a different top coat. This is also such a gorgeous colour
