Shabby Chic from the flower Garden

Life gets pretty hectic, juggling so much at once can really take it out of you. I've got a packed diary this month which is great but I know I need to take time to wind down so I don't 'burn the candle at both ends' -something my Mum ha always told me I'm good at!

After a busy day I like to make sure the evening is when we can all really relax. Creating the right atmosphere can really help with  this. I like to have everything cleared away, a cup of tea in my hand and a couple of candles burning. A tidy house, a tidy mind! It means I have nothing to worry about for the rest of the day, my work is done!

I love sitting down on the sofa with my partner Sam and talking the night away. We either catch up properly and put the world to rights or we discuss whatever trashy TV show we're in the middle of watching. It's simple things but I love it!

This is generally how most evenings are for me so we go through candles pretty quickly. A candle with a lovely scent is a great present for me. This makes Valentines/Mothers Day/ Birthdays very easy for Sam! I tend to treat myself to a new Yankee candle or wax tart here and there but I don't often try another brand out.

I was sent this Shabby Chic From the Flower Garden Gift set and it's such a lovely gift. Even when you first open it you can see it's really nicely packaged and definitely something to buy for someone rather than for yourself.

The set contains two votive candles and a 50ml diffuser with fragrance notes of Cassis, Red Fruit, Jasmine, Lily, Rose and Musk

The diffuser is perfect to leave in the room to slowly diffuse the fragrance into the air. My son Mason is great around candles so I'm really lucky but I know a lot wouldn't feel comfortable having candles lit with children around so a diffuser is a great alternative to keep the room smelling fresh all day.
It looks really pretty too with the decorative  flower on the top. It should last for 4 months too.

The candles are in cute little glass jars which I will definitely be reusing once the candles run down. They have a burn time of 10 hours which is plenty. The scent isn't overpowering at all and makes the room feel really fresh.

I'd not seen these sets before and I'm now going to be keeping these in mind for gifts for the family.

This lovely little set is available at House of Fraser and is on offer at the moment too. I'd definitely keep this in mind for Mothers Day -which is a lot sooner than you'd think!
