Superdrug UnlockAW14 Event

I was invited along to Superdrugs UnlockAW14 event last week. I was really excited about this because I know Superdrug have taken some great brands on board lately. I made my way into town and was ready to see what new products they had in store.

I arrived just in time for the GOSH cosmetics masterclass where we were taught how to create the perfect red lip. We had all the tools needed including their gorgeous Velvet Touch lipsticks which are so creamy and really long lasting. Even after drinking my glass of watermelon juice it was still perfect!

They had a lot of their secret santa gifts on show. There's so many great gift sets getting released in time for Christmas including the Models Own Luxe set which is just £10 a total bargain for 4 nail polishes, I love the golden packaging! There's so many affordable sets that will make perfect stocking fillers.

I tried out one of Leaderfoods smoothies which are very clever. The smoothies are all in powder form so you just have to add ice so you can make a quick and easy smoothie when you haven't had time to go to the supermarket and stock up on fruit. The are packed full of goodness and really tasty too.

Elegant touch have teamed up with Lily Allen to create some stick on nails. I have to admit I'm not Lily's biggest fan but her nail range is pretty awesome. I love this LDN design!

They had a swap shop where you were given a form to fill in and write down what products you would usually use. You would then be provided with a Superdrug version. I was really surprised to see how many own brand products Superdrug have!

It was basically wall to wall cosmetics! The Make Up Revolution products really stood out to me. How could you miss those lipsticks? They look so pretty all  lined up, it makes me want them ALL! I'm yet to try anything by them but their packaging really is something special.

B have transformed their packaging somewhat and made their products look a lot more high end, you wouldn't think that these products start at just £11.99 (and ALWAYS seem to be on offer too!) The jars look really luxurious you just know you would want to keep them on show on a vanity table.

I've not really seen much of B in the way of cosmetics but I love the look of these little sets with a book theme, I am a fan of anything that is easy to store! There was a masterclass showcasing the oil control foundations which have a great range of colours and are really hydrating.

The highlight of the event for me was the masterclass with Lauren Pope. I have always liked her and I think she is absolutely stunning. She went through how to apply her Hair Rehab clip-in hair pieces. She demonstrated the clip in ponytail in a matter on minutes. It really is so simple to apply. She then came round to help us all with our own and chatted with everyone. What a lovely girl!

There was also a little teaser of the new Zoella range that will be coming soon. Very exciting indeed.

As it was on Bond Street I resisted the urge to pop into Fovever 21 on my way back and went into Disney Store instead to pick up a treat for my son as I felt bad leaving him all afternoon.

It was a great afternoon and I look forward to looking through the products I was lucky enough to take home with me.
