September -What I wore, ate, read, watched and used...

I can't believe it's nearly October already! I did toy with the idea with doing a monthly favourites post, I've done a couple in the past but I never really managed to make them a regular thing.

I came up with this nice little monthly round up, rather than listing a bunch of my favourite products (which a lot of the time are the same thing anyway) I figured I'd do a little run down of bits and pieces that summed up the last month.

What I wore-

I'm not giving up on Summer just yet. I had my eye on this maxi dress when I saw it online a couple of months back. I could never find it in my size in the shops so it passed me by, I decided it just wasn't for me. When I saw it online in the sale for £10 I took it as a sign. I had to have it, even if we are going into Autumn ... I've never been good at dressing for the right season! I love the little cut outs in the sides and the print is a lot more vibrant than what I'd usually go for but I love it.

What I ate-

It was my youngest brothers 21st a couple of weeks ago and we all went out for a family meal at an amazing restaurant called Galu. The food was delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant is great. It was really nice having all of my family together. The food has a bit of a Mediterranean theme and I had an amazing Kleftiko followed by my favourite dessert Tiramusu.

What I read-
I've mainly been reading blogs.... other peoples and also my own -over and over ...proof reading takes time! I'd been really struggling to sleep lately so I've been up going through my bloglovin list at silly o'clock in the morning. I've ended up finding some really great blogs and have started talking to some really lovely girls too.

What I watched-
One series I really liked watching was Jon Richardson Grows up. He visited a few different people with such different ways of life. There was a couple that go to swinging clubs to keep their marriage fresh. He met a millionaire who gave all of his money to charity, a rich family who were now recluses and a community who use no money what so ever and live off the land. I found it all so fascinating and I really wanted it to go on longer. It helps that I find him really funny too.

What I used-
I've really loved using the Revlon Highlighting palette on my cheeks. I've had it a while and I've been reaching for it a lot lately. it gives me a really nice glow that is really buildable. You can use the top half for more of a highlight or the bottom for a deeper colour. I've also been loving my old favourite Salon Pro Nail polish by Rimmel in Soul Session, it's such a wearable dusky pink which has a lovely shine to it too.

Now it's time for me to start trying to dress for Autumn, get ready for lots of birthdays, fireworks and the countdown to Christmas!
