The Mummy Tag

I saw this Tag by Emma Louise at Not your Average  and this one is a little bit different as it's got a Mum theme. Being a Mum is something I can talk about all day so I had to give it a go.

1. Are you a Stay at Home Mum, or a Working Mum?
Stay at home and work. But I'm much more than a Mum, there's more to it.

2. Would you have it any other way?
No. I love it, I like looking after my house and family. We both have our roles that we fit into and help each other out. It's very much equal.

3. Do you co-sleep?
No. I'm not a fan. Mason has always slept in his cot, and we're lucky that he settles well. I wouldn't want him to get too used to coming in with us.

4. What is your one must-have item for your baby?
That's a tough one. I don't think anything was really a must-have item. Everyone is different.

5. How many kids do you plan on having?
I'd like one more. I've always imagined having 2 boys but you can't plan these things! I just want at least 4 years between them.

6. Date night? How many nights per month?
We make sure we spend quality time together in the evenings and we go out to see friends once or twice a month and have people round every other week. We probably have a proper date just the 2 of us once a month.

7. Your childs favourite show?
We don't have CBeebies on too much as it drives me mad and Mason isn't overly interested in any of it. He's more content with a music channel which he dances along to. One thing he will sit and properly watch is Toy Story.

8. Name one thing you bought before you had your baby and never ended up using?
We were given a lot of stuff and I think we used all of it. We got a room thermometer but ended up using our own judgement, I don't think they're completely necessary

9. Your child’s favourite food?
Broccoli, cheese, ham, pasta. He's not too excited by sweet things (not yet anyway).

10. How many cars does your family have?
Just one. We live really close to town so we do a lot of walking.

11. Weight gain before pregnancy, during and after and now?
Oh I hate this subject. I didn't gain much at all. I didn't have any maternity clothes and I wore my normal jeans. I'm actually smaller now than I was before I had him. I guess it's all the rushing around. But everyone is different and frankly, it's irrelevant.

12. Dream holiday with your kids?
I cannot wait to go to Disney World! We're going to wait til we have 2 kids and they are both old enough to really enjoy it. We''ll take Mason to Disneyland Paris in the next couple of years, I can just imagine his face when he meets Buzz and Woody!

13. Dream holiday without your kids?
Anywhere hot and relaxing. I'd love to go back to Mexico.

14. How has your life changed since your baby has been born?
It's changed a lot. I put him before everything and he's never off my mind for long. I don't go out drinking, if I do have a drink it's a couple of glasses with the girls instead of doing shots and dancing on bars!

15. Finish the sentence: ‘It makes my heart melt to see … ‘
Mason sleeping. He always looks so peaceful. Or when he goes over to Sam and gives him a kiss, so adorable.

16. Where do you shop for your kids?
Zara, Baby Gap and Next are my favourites. He has a few Ted Baker and JoJo Maman Bebe bits which are absolutely gorgeous too.

17. Favourite makeup and skincare products?
Mac mineralise concealer is great. And I wear Benefits Rockateaur a lot to give me a glow. I'm often wearing a strong lip too but I have to make sure it's not on days where I'm taking him swimming. Once I was in my bikini with red lips and I looked more like I was doing a glamour shoot rather than taking my baby for a swim! I'd just put it on that morning and kind of forgot. I didn't realise until I caught my reflection in one of the windows!

18. Huggies or Pampers?
Pampers. Huggies for swim nappies and wipes though.

19. Have you always wanted kids?
In all honesty, no. I thought I'd be a fantastic aunty but never imagined being a Mum myself. I only wanted them after I met Sam! I just knew we'd be a great team.

20. Best part about being a mum?
Seeing your child grow and learn things. Thinking 'I helped him do that' It's a very proud moment. Whenever I feel down his giggle always cheers me up.

I tag every Mummy! If you do this let me know, I'd love to have a read and meet some other blogging mums!

  1. Awww I really liked this post! Mason is beautiful! I'm so maternal right now (always have been) it's ridiculous but I'm in the middle of a law degree and I'm only 19 so not ideal for me and my boyfriend right now. So the next best thing is reading baby related posts! hehe :-) xx
