Along came Maybelline's Fit me Shine Free Stick, another adition to the 'Fit Me' range of foundation, powder and concealer released earlier this year.
It's a great compact stick of gel foundation with an anti shine powder in middle. It contains a reasonable 0.32 oz of product which swivels up like a lipstick would.

I applied a few stripes straight onto the skin and blended with a foundation brush but a beauty blender would do the job too, or of course, your fingers if you'd prefer.
I thought it would be a bit cakey but it really blends in, creating a powder like finish with about a medium coverage. It covers redness and darkness perfectly and it feels really light on the skin. The anti shine formula absorbs excess oil for a truly matte finish.
For me personally it didn't cover enough of my imperfections, I have a bit of scarring which wasn't totally hidden but I do find it perfect for touch ups. If you are just looking to even out the skin tone or quickly cover up the odd blemish then this is for you. I'll definitely be keeping this in my bag for emergencies though, it's an excellent quick fix. But I'll be sticking to a liquid foundation for longer wear.
Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Stick Foundation is £8.99 in Boots and Superdrug.

Have you tried this? What did you think?
It weird as I don't normally like Maybelline foundations but I really like this, but I haven't read great reviews on it! I think mine was the only positive one I could find!
ReplyDeleteShame it wasn't quite right for you though!
