A Mothers Day Outfit from Next

This year it's my first Mothers Day as a Mum! So exciting! Obviously Mason's only 6 months old so he doesn't really get what's going on, but the first one is always a big thing.I'm not too sure what the plans are yet but I've got my fingers crossed for a new pair of shoes...

The Style Rawr! are hosting a Mothers Day competition where we create an outfit for a Mum on Mothers day using clothes from Next. The prize is £200 to spend at Next which would be a lovely present for my Mum as she's done so much for me lately. She's amazing, everyone loves her and all my friends over the years have loved coming over to see her. She'll do anything for anyone and never asks for anything back. I can talk to her for hours and she's really helped me with Mason. I honestly think there's nobody in the world quite like my mum!

This pic was at my nieces Christening about 8 years ago! Time flies!

I could go on all day but this is my outfit, it's actually something I'd quite like myself but also can really see my Mum wearing.

It's a shame that my Mum isn't into going out to new places and getting dressed up anymore, she's always so busy running around after everyone else. I'd love to swap an afternoon in her kitchen drinking tea for an evening drinking cocktails with her in a swanky bar. Maybe one day I'll be able to twist her arm!

This outfit is smart, but not too much. I wouldn't dress my mum in anything too bold so I kept it simple with navy and cream. Like me, she loves her heels so I had to add a classic pair of nude courts to the mix!

Like a lot of mums my mum carries her life in her handbag so I didn't want to go for anything too small so this clutch is perfect. And I love the scent of the Next London Perfume. Mum never wears a lot of jewellery but I couldn't resist adding this rose gold watch for a touch of sparkle!

She wants a picture of me and my brothers so we'll be sorting out a nice frame and few pictures of us for her. The hardest part will be getting the time to take the pictures as we're rarely in the same place at once! I imagine she'll get a few boxes of chocolates, bunches of flowers and she always wants to try the newest mascara so I'll shop around and treat her to one. I love an excuse to spoil my Mum, she really is amazing.

I actually love this dress so much, if my mum had it I would definitely be stealing it for myself!
