It's my work Christmas party tonight.
I'd ordered a dress from ASOS the other day and was hoping it got delivered in time. So I was really pleased when I got home to a package last night(after a nightmare journey home -bloody snow!)
I opened it only to find they'd sent me the wrong bloody dress! NOT happy. I e-mailed them asking if they could send a replacement today on same day delivery but now it turns out my dress is out of stock. So now I'm wearing an old dress (an old dress I have only worn once, I admit!) to the party.
I've become a bit of a perv lately. I just seem to be obsessed with a few celebs. I thought I'd share and try and explain some of the stranger ones. It's not your typical list, not the usual 'George Clooney, Brad Pitt'... oh no....
So my current obsession is Russell Howard. I'm not sure what it is about him, maybe it's his silly sense of humour. Up until recently I could never imagine him doing anything remotely sexy without saying something stupid like 'let me pleasure you with my mighty wizards wand of glory' but he gave a look the other day on his new show that was pure filth. I can totally imagine it now! ....Yea his eyes are a little too close together but I still would!
Next on my list is Jack Whitehall. He's not so much about the looks. His hair is a bit ridiculous (if he was mine I'd get that sorted out!) but again, I think it's the sense of humour. Who doesn't want a guy that can make them laugh?! And he's so well spoken, that really does it for me too. He's silly, but he has manners. He is only 21 though... I feel like a bit of a pervert.
Jame Marsden is next. I've mentioned him on my blog a few times. If you've seen 'Gossip' you'll see what I'm talking about. hmmm.... and he's older, so I'm less of a perv now. This is my favourite picture of him. How cute!
Now we all know about my love for Zac Efron. We have this poster up in the flat, framed! You can't deny he's a good looking guy, and he can dance! ... and yes, I feel slightly like a perv again, but he's 21 now. Even though we will always think of him in his HSM days. Hopefully his next film gets rid of that image. He looks particularly gorgeous in 17 again!
And then there's Robbie Williams. I've always loved him. There's something about him. I can imagine having great conversations with him (along with other things! *wink wink!*) I love the lyrics in his songs and say want you want about him, he's an entertainer!
------------------------------------------------------------- So basically it seems I generally go for more than looks (good good, not as shallow as I thought!) and I like a cheeky chappy that can dance, can make me laugh and not take themselves too seriously....And the odd drug problem or being under age isn't a problem, apparently!
Now I've never been a massive Primark fan as it is. When I can be bothered I've braved it for the odd pair of socks or something for a fancy dress night, but I dont visit frequently, not if I can help it!
I imagine this is going to offend quite a few people. But I hate the place!
I get really disappointed if I see someone wearing something and they tell me it's from Primark. I know I won't have it as
(1) I can't bring myself to spend money on something I know will fall apart after one wash
(2) I hate going in there.
I had to go in there earlier to get some tights for the shoot, admittedly I could have gone to Topshop but knew I'd be spending much more, and as I won't be wearing bright pink tights again, it didn't seem to make sense to spend more than a pound on them! I've never been to the Marble arch Primark, but I won't be going back! It was crazy! And it was a mess! Soooo many people rummaging through sooo many clothes, the whole place smelling of plastic, everything on wrong hangers (not that the sizes are right anyway!) ugh, it was not an enjoyable experience.
The other day someone at work was wearing some blue boots, she said they were from Primark so I thought I'd have look, I had to make joining the HUGE que worth while! I was close to buying them but after carrying them around I felt how cheap they felt, it just didn't do it for me! I figured if I spent another £30 they would last much longer and I wouldn't feel cheap wearing them!
I know people are saving the pennies these days but I say, go without for a while, save a bit and buy something decent! It will be so much more worth it in the end!
I'm using the net in my flat! Very exciting stuff! We are ONLINE! And I am using the Mac, this is a new thing for me, I've always been a PC girl. After about 10 mins of looking like a monkey using tools for the first time, I managed to turn it on! Then a further 10 mins trying to work out where the Internet explorer was and I'm in! I do keep going to click the top right to get rid of the window though! I'm sure I'll get used to it!
So I've got the day off today. I'm planning on going to Oxford Street for a bit before I come home and clean the flat and start dinner (don't I sound domesticated?!) I've got a photo shoot booked at work for next week, a photographer wanted to do a shoot based around shoes and legs, and thought of me. I'm quite excited, but pretty scared too! I'm not great in front of a camera! I've been instructed to buy some coloured tights today, he said something about contrasting colours and shadows....
I'm watching Electric Proms on our 'on demand' thingy -yep, I've got all technical now! I don't care what people say, I think Robbie's amazing! and he looks a lot more with it than he was on X factor the other day! I soooo want to go see him!
Wow, winter's well and truly on it's way! It's so cold! -doesn't help that I'm at my mum's at the moment, it's always cold here!
Though strangely this year it's making me excited about Halloween, fireworks, my birthday and Christmas coming. Usually I just get all depressed and think about how I miss the summer!
I do need to get some winter clothes though, I have literally no-thing, not a thing! I just find it hard to get motivated. Shopping for summer clothes is so easy, everything is cute! I tried looking in town earlier but all I got tempted by was a new nail polish! Not a great start.
Must try harder.
On another note, is it wrong I'm slightly tempted by this....
I can't work out if it will actually be any good at all? hmmmm
It's been a while since I blogged, mainly down to the big move. We're all settled in now, only waiting on the V plus and Internet. I'm at work while I write this, it's nice to go on the Internet properly, I've just been updating my facebook and twitter status's on my phone, but it's not really the same.
Life in the flat is really nice, I've been working late the last week and have been getting in late.
We're planning our housewarming/ Halloween party, soooo looking forward to it! Will be nice to finally feel all settled and have a proper get-together with everyone. And we're yet to be drunk in our flat!
So in other news, X factor, it had to be mentioned. I'm glad Kandi Rain went last night, Cheryl and Danni had a point of them dressing like slappers. They keep going on about how they want to be known as singers and not to have their stripping past brought up, but that's not going to happen if they dress in their underwear for every show. The outfits didn't do much for their thighs either -meow!
People were saying those awful twins should have gone but there's no way they'd go out this early, they're hated so much it makes more sense for them to stay in to get more phone votes. Simon Cowell knows what he's doing!I'm loving Danyl, he's not cocky in my eyes, just confident. Stacy is the most stupid girl I've ever seen! I can't believe that voice comes out of her though, amazing! and the guy with the hat and the unruly eyebrow scares me, he's like a little gremlin!
...are also on my list but decided to go with the boots purely based on for value for money ie -more material for the price.
But the blue suede shoes...
...shall be mine soon.
I call them my hooker boots, though I have to make sure I don't make them look too hooker-y. Basically no wearing them with red plastic mini skirts!! (I'm sure I can manage that!)
I wore them to work the other day with my american apparel leggings and a long cardigan. If anything can make an outfit innocent, it's a cardigan! I've got my jumper dress and tights planned to wear with it too. I've got to experiment really. I'm sure I can work it out, Though any ideas are welcome!
Having a clear out has just made me want to buy more.
Out with the old, in with the new as they say...
When I have pointless days off I spend them browsing clothes on the net, this makes me want to go out and try them all on! There are several dresses I want, I could literally spend my whole pay cheque in Topshop at the mo! And as I only seem to let myself buy black stuff to wear for work, I now think 'wow, I need some colour!' So I'm full of excuses really! Seems I've spent the last few weeks looking and cushions and lamp shades, now it's time to make that dresses and shoes!
and it's 3 for 2 on all make up in Boots too! That reminds me, I need to go through and throw out a load of old make up.
I'm having a clear out. I'm attempting to be ruthless but I just can't do it!
Throwing stuff away is hard! I've managed a whole bin bag full (which is mostly full of old bras!) but there doesn't seem to be any less stuff!
I have this little devil on my shoulder going "yea, you've never worn it but what about Halloween?"or "that will look great at a beach party"
I've thrown out the infamous 'Mrs Matt' pants we wore for Matt on his 19th. and the t shirt with all the boys faces on it that they got us for one Christmas. It's a bit sad really.
I even found my old PE t shirt. WHY DO I KEEP THESE THINGS?!
I did find I have had a lot of crude t shirts. 'Ride me cowboy... all night long!''at it like rabbits' 'superfcuk'
I'm actually wearing a skirt and top from about 2004 (fits better now than it did then, I think I was a chubby teenager!) just to make a point to myself that I still need it!
And this is just the clothes! Imagine when I get to the shoes! Oh I'm going to be here forever!
I thought I'd bring back the old school and kill some time with a quiz, I haven't done one of these since the myspace days!
1. What is your favorite item of clothing? It's an obvious choice but it has to be my jeans. I love how they can be dressed up or down.
2. What are your biggest obsessions? Manners! The amount I go on about good manners drives people crazy. I just wish everyone was polite- we are British after all!
3. What is your favorite song right now? I'm loving a good old bit of 50's Rock and Roll, so the whole Dreamboats and Petticoats album is being played a lot. Under pressure by Queen is being played a lot too.
4. If you were a sweetie, what would you be? A truffle -lovely, amazing and sweet on the outside, even more so on the inside!
5. What's your favorite film? I couldn't chose just one, Titanic and Grease are big favourites of mine though.
6. Who's your favorite actor? Basing this purely on looks, Zac Efron
7. What are your 3 favorite smells? Dior Addict, Versace Red Jeans because it reminds me of such good times, and Starbucks
8. What did you always want to do/be when you grew up? the first thing I remember was wanting to own a hotel, then I wanted to be an air hostess, then a travel rep.
9. If someone made a short film of your life, who would play you?Reece Witherspoon, I'm not sure why, I can just see her playing me.
10. What would your perfect afternoon consist of? Sunshine, friends and laughter
11. If you were a flower, what would you be? A lilly. I like to think I leave a mark on people's lives just like a lillys pollen does on fabric
12. Tell me a random thing - a quote, a line from a song, book, movie...
'Always behave like a duck, keep calm and unruffled on surface, put paddle like f*ck underneath'
So there's a promotion going at work, basically if any of us want to go for it we can. I've been umming and ahhing over it for the last few days. It would be a huge difference, moving further away from the rest of the girls but with more responsibility. They're interviewing next week so I have to think fast.
I couldn't decide what to do and I was going over and over it in my head. So yesterday on the tube home, with the London Paper on my lap I decided to look at my star signs. Now I haven't paid attention to my stars since I was little but I thought 'what the hell'
This is what it said:
Think carefully on that big change you've been considering -and specifically, think on weather its the right big change for you. you might feel as if your life needs an overhaul -so overhaul it, by all means. Just don't fall into the trap of taking the first road out of town that you pass by..."
Basically over the past few weeks my boobs have,
let's just say 'blossomed'.
I have no idea why, no it's not 'that time of the month' I'm not pregnant and all my clothes (apart from my bras and tight tops!) still fit so I'm pretty sure I haven't gained weight.
People at work think I had a secret boob job in Mexico!
I was shopping with the girls (the actual girls, not my breasts! -behave) yesterday and they were telling me to get fitted. I was wearing a really crap bra and didn't want to show some stranger ready to put a tape around my boobs.
I've been wearing a 34C for as long as I can remember so needless to say I was falling out of it a bit too (oooh Trinny and Susanna would be so ashamed!)
So today I have been doing a bit of DIY. With the help of some websites, now I say 'help', some were just ridiculous.
After measuring myself properly, (ie. not just sat at the computer juggling a tape measure with talking to Cass on facebook chat -doing it this way I was coming up with 36AA's and that's just silly!) I noted down the measurements and started to do my research.
I started out with a bra size calculator, sounded easy enough, just a case of entering the numbers and BAM:
Bra calculator no1: 36B
(this place asked me to do 3 measurements above, below and across the bust ?)
Bra calculator no2: 34C
Bra calculator no3: 36A
... I wasn't having much luck, so decided to go for the old fashioned way. I looked on different websites for how they tell you to calculate your bra size. Ann Summers: 34D M&S: 34DD La Senza: 34D
....it was all looking promising, at least now they were all similar and more realistic sizes! Honeys Lingerie :32D Give me Bliss :30F!!Debenhams :34D Ultimo 34D Agent Provocateur 34D
So it seems 34D is the favourite, but maybe it would be best to go for the old fashioned lady with the tape to make sure!
I went on a little shopping trip today, my shoulder's starting to feel better and really needed to get out of the house.
I needed some more hair rollers, I there were the biggest I could find but they'll do for now. I need some volume! I got a new foundation brush and this really cute little eye cream/glitter (Jewel eye pot by MEMEME no.2 -for those interested!) that I really don't need but I thought it was fabulous! It has the creme on the top and at the bottom has a section with matching glitter. I'm sure I'll end up having every colour.
There were a few things by GOSH but I couldn't bring myself to buy any as they weren't on 3 for 2! Cheap, I know but that offer is on so often it seems like I'm being short changed!
I've also finally found the purple eye colour I've been looking for for so long. Nothing else has seemed bright enough, but Barry M have just bought out this limited edition gem!
And the best result was when I got out of the shop and checked the receipt I saw that the guy forgot to scan the dazzle dust! So it was free! woooo!I'd feel guilty but it was his fault, not mine -he was chatting to his mate the whole time! That'll teach him to give better customer service!
My Dad's booked a week off this week and as Mum was around too he wanted to go do something with their day. I swear Mum would happily be chained to the kitchen sink forever, she only seems to live for housework. She hardly ever goes out, she's either at the neighbours or has her friends round here for 'girls nights' rather than socialising elsewhere.
Dad's forever trying to get her to do something slightly interesting. But she is the queen of excuses! She's been using my youngest brother as an excuse for years, but he's 15 now and it's not working as well as it used to.
My Dad said to her:
"Let's go shopping, I'll buy you what ever you like but as long as its for you, not for the house or the kids"
and you know what she replied...?!
"no, it's too hot" ?!?!?!
My Dad ignored the cries of 'take me take MEEEEE!'as I leaped about behind him.
Firstly, don't you just hate it when magazines advertise something and when you look for it you can't find it anywhere?! I've gone all the way through the Oli website (I've had this problem with Oli before! grr) to find this dress and it's nowhere to be seen!
But it's probably for the best, I'm just spending money when I shouldn't be. Just because I earned a lot of commission last month doesn't mean it's there to be spent -so I'm told!
Works been going well, it's been stupidly busy! I'm still having daydreams about a certain girls head exploding.
I have such an urge to go out and buy make up, I want to know how good the Loreal Studio Secrets stuf is...
-------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: Oh I've found it! (the dress) It's not as nice on the model anyway. All that hard work for nothing! T'uh!
Loving... Ambre Solaire Fake Tan for the face - after wearing a hat most of the time on holiday my face is much lighter than the rest of me, so this baby is working a treat! Dairy Milk with crunchie bits -I'd forgotten how moreish it was! Going back to work after holiday -As much as I miss the Mexican sunshine, I'm loving the big squeals of excitement and hugs from everyone! I'm such an attention whore sometimes! and it's nice to know I was missed! Jiving -Getting rather good at it now! Life planning -some exciting things ahead! My Mum -not only did she re-decorate and de-clutter my room while I was away, she kept a load of tacky mags for me so I can catch up on the celeb world! ♥
Hating...(hate's a strong word, more like disliking) The Wind -its looked nice outside today but that wind is COLD! Katie Price -Don't get me started, she's lost a lot of respect from me Baby bumps as profile pictures on FB -ugh! I do not need to see it! Old men with their tops off when the slightest hint of sun comes out -*see above Robert Pattinson -I just don't get the hype. You're not really a vampire mate, get outside and get some colour to you! -oh and brush your hair!
I know it's been a while, I got back from holiday on Monday and have been non-stop since. I shall update about the holiday soon.
But in the mean time, check these babies out...
Usually at festivals I don't bother with wellies, firstly they don't have a heel and I just feel stupid in them! So I generally opt for an old pair of 4" heeled, knee high boots -Now you may say it's not practical but the heels stick in the mud which ensures no slipping over! Don't knock it till you try it!
For years I've said they should do wellies with a heel, and now they do... if only they were that little bit higher...
I'm in the middle of packing for Mexico, well I say packing, it's more like throwing a load of stuf onto my bed, then getting distracted and trying stuff on! I'm alarmed at how many things I have still with the tags on!
I've got loads of lists written up, and I've sorted out what nail polish to take with me, I've narrowed it down to 7. -is 7 too many? Two of which I got from work, we give them away when clients recommend friends for a shoot. They're pretty good and there's some great neon colours. They're by BYS. We have eye shadows and shimmer pencils by them too, and lip glosses. I haven't tried the shadows but the gloss is good, and the shimmer is ok but does end up smudging quite a bit. I can't work out how you'd buy them online but the easy way is to come to my studio and recommend some friends (but only when I'm there, we get commission for that!) -yea, shameless plug there, I know! I'm working tomorrow so I really do need to get the majority of this packing done tonight. It's not helping that I'm getting tempted by the next day delivery at ASOS.
Yea, yea, yea she mimed... but to be honest you just don't care cos the show is that great! You don't go to see Britney because of her voice anyway, she's a performer.
We had awesome seats, row 1! Right at the front of the barrier. So we got some great pictures. Mainly of her sexy legs and bum! Everything tied in with the circus theme, there was a circus act before she went on stage and there were rides outside the O2.
I didn't see too many people dressed up, there was one girl we saw dressed in a ringmasters costume -after several jugs of cocktails we just had to have our picture taken with her! We literally ran up to the poor girl going "omgodyoulookamazinglet'shaveapicture!"
My friend Bradley was treating me to lots of cocktails and pizza, even before the concert it was so much fun. Was a really really good night!
Our original plan was to dress as different Britneys but we never got round to organising it. It was ok, we bought Britney top hats when we were there! And we were covered in glitter - especially when I got the button stuck down and was just stood there screeching trying to get it to stop! haha! good times!
Of course there were a few trampy girls out in those weird little neon net skirt thingys (with matching socks). I guess they think it attracts guys... hmmm.
Oh how I love people watching at concerts.
The thing is, they charge about a tenner for these things and it must cost less than 50p to make them! silly girls! But each to their own!
Speaking of Neon...
How cute are these Alexander McQueen shoes?!
I'm at work at the mo, counting down the days to my holiday and trying to not buy shoes... seriously, I've found more that I want! I just can't stop!
Ha! Anyone remember that b*witched song?! -God it was bad!
We're going to Thorpe Park tomorrow for Max's birthday -we'll be dressed as superheros, so if you're about we'll be easy to spot!
I've been checking the weather all week to see if it'll be nice. I swear they don't have a clue. One day it was thunderstorms, another it's rainy, then it said it would be sunny, and today it's chance of rain.
It really should just say 'your guess is as good as ours!'
Went to see Girls Aloud at the O2 on Saturday night.
I was pretty hungover after going out for drinks with work and waking up on my mates roof at 8.30am! -don't ask.
I can tell you it's a pretty weird sensation being woken up by direct sunlight on your face!
I was shattered and in dire need of some caffeine. We went out for lunch when I got home, I was craving a burger or something equally greasy and bad for me. It did the trick, though we decided a Frappachino was also needed -but why do they feel the need to put on the air con so high?!! It was freezing!
Throughout the day I was feeling more and more tired, butI soldiered through, getting myself a big coke at the concert to get me through the night.
We dressed up as gift wrapped kitty-cats ('...we're only turning into tigers when we wanna fight back....' geddit?) and I must say we looked pretty awesome! It was quite entertaining to see how many of the girls had gone for the Let's-dress-up-as-Cheryl-even-though-we're-don't-look-nearly-as-good-as-her look. Girls Aloud were amazing, we had great seats and they even sang live, which I was shocked at. And the way they dance in their heels is a talent in itself! They also have amazing bodies!
So all in all a good weekend -drinks, eats, great sleeps, girls aloud, frapachinos, friends, and sunshine =lovely
So apparently they're making a Bridget Jones musical!(according to Heatworld) I'm not quite sure how this will work but I can say I'm pretty excited by it! -I still need to see Dirty Dancing first!
I fancied a little retail therapy today, basically to make myself feel better after all this crap with tweedle dumb and tweedle prick.
It was also because I had a big clear-out of a load of clothes this morning after breaking the front panel off a drawer as it had so much stuff in it! -I blame cheap furniture personally, not excessive purchasing -but whatever.
After throwing so much stuff out I realised there was so much more room, room that needed to be filled (girl logic I know) Turns out I didn't get much on the clothes front, I wanted another suit jacket (I have loads but they just never seem right for the occasions I want to wear them) but typically whenever you have something in mind, you can never find it.
I did by a strapless top for my holiday, and a coral set of undies -loving coral right now! While in the changing room I could hear these girls trying on bras, they are so mean to each other! One was like "wow, you are so flat, you need more pads" the other girls said "it has pads!" and another went "well it needs more" bitches! They were only about 12! Another one was obviously prancing around in hers as there were gasps of "they look massive" and "you look so so sexy now" the girl was lapping it up. Wierd.
Anyway, back to me.
After not having much luck on the clothes front I got this and a bracelet with an anchor on it. I'm not much of a jewellery person really but thought they were cute. And I got this as it was in the sale. I also got that lipstick by loreal that 'feels like a lip balm but looks like a gloss'. It was on offer in Boots so I couldn't say no. Dunno about looks like a gloss, it looks nice though!
I ended up with a multi coloured hand after trying to find another of the Barry M dazzle dusts I wanted (and didn't have already) as they were on 3 for £10 as always. I ended up just getting the one, (a gold and black one) I ran out of hand space and I was looking like it had been shut in a door!
I also got a couple of chic-lit books to read on holiday, but knowing me I'll finish them before I go!
I do actually enjoy the commute to work most days, it's a time to just be on my own and wind down... providing I get a seat, and not only a seat, but one that's not shared by any of the following - a fidget, a smelly person, someone who needs more than their share of the seat, someone with really loud music, someone you rustles their London Lite more than they need to, folding it over and over again, making it crinkle and crinkle away! AHHH!... ok ok, maybe there are times where I really do not enjoy the commute!
Couple's kissing is one of the worst things to be around. It's really not a nice sound. It's even worse when they're old, or old and whispering suggestive comments in each others ears-heave!There are some couples who feel the need to be touching their partner constantly, hugging, touching their bum, even just hanging on to their pocket. I'm in a relationship and I find it annoying, I can't imagine how irritating it is to single people!
There's also that horrible moment on the tube when you're sat down and a larger lady is stood near you. It's the age-old dilemma of 'do I offer my seat and risk being slapped in the face?' pregnant or fat, pregnant or fat...? It's ok for men, they can do it and just seem gentlemanly.
Though I have seen some women wearing these, which does help.
People putting their make up on whilst on the train is absolutely fascinating! I'm not even sure why, maybe it's because you don't get to see these things normally. And I always secretly hope they slip with the liquid eyeliner (It's mean but it's a risky game they're playing anyway!) I always try to not look but I just can't help watching! Some people just keep on applying, you can see them piling it on and you're sat there thinking 'Stop it! stop it! you should have stopped 3 applications of blusher ago!' It's a good idea though, gives you longer in bed I guess, and it's not like you do much else on the train.
One thing I just don't get is the trainers. I understand some people can't walk in their work shoes so they'll opt for trainers for the commute. But why are they always the most ugly trainers you've ever seen?! Big white bulky things, and always worn with tights! No no NO! We all know I'm not exactly a lover of shoes without a heel but wouldn't some ballet pumps do the same job and look much less offensive?!
...Oh I could go on, but maybe I'll save it for another blog!
So I decided to walk home from the station today, nice day and all!
I'm walking along and the woman coming towards me goes 'Jenna!'
It was my chavvy auntie (she's adopted, I feel I need to mention that!)
The convo goes a bit like this : -oh, hi...
-I was just thinking 'who's that sexy lady coming towards me, (was wearing red heels, little skirt, y'no normal work attire!) oh it's my niece!' *Funny that, I was thinking 'who is that chavvy woman walking towards me, oh it's my scrounger auntie!'* -*Nervouos Laugh*
-Where you off to? -Oh was just walking home from the station, seeing as it was a nice day...
-Yea I'm walking everywhere now, cos I'm not driving anymore... *Oh yea that driving ban, classy! -am I really related to this?!* -oh yea.. *I really don't want to be seen talking to you...*
-that's why I'm looking so... *sweaty?*
-Svelt. -haha, yea...*REALLY??!!*
awkward silence... *are we done?*
-well anyway, better get going...
Told Mum I'd seen her, apparently she's on her third kid now! I didn't know this, and she's 3! I suppose if I'd cared I would have asked how they all were... maybe she took the hint!
So we went along to see Zac take his top off -they cut the bit from the advert out of the film! Though the film does start with him playing basketball topless, which is nice.)
I personally loved it, He's a very good looking boyman and the most ridiculous part of the film is the fact that someone as beautiful as Zac Efron would grow up and turn into a chubby Matthew Perry! It's just not going to happen!
The end credits has pics of them when they were at school, which for Zac was like...a year ago?! Everyone did go 'awwww' though! And he hasn't hung up his tap shoes just yet, they threw in a little dance routine at the beginning! Bless him!
After the film I began to wonder (yes I've been watching sex and the city again!)
Would I actually like to be 17 again...?
I could have told myself to not dye my hair and straighten it so much as it will never grow, to put the fake tan down! -Orange is never a good look! I could make sure I didn't bother with certain guys cos the good one is there at the end. And make sure I knew that all the good friends are the one's that stick through all the bad stuf, and not to worry about the rest.
Though it would mean...
-Going through all those games with guys, do they like me? Why hasn't he replied?
-Drinking too much,
-Not sleeping enough.
-Going through heartbreak (that wasn't really heartbreak at all!)
-Hanging round with people I didn't even like.
I don't think I'd want to. Na, I'd prefer to stay as I am. And I wouldn't have met some of the amazing people that I know now!
I had a call at work earlier from a guy asking how to spell someones name. I started to spell it out and when I got to N he said 'M?' I was like, no 'N, for... Norman' and he replied 'November' -Cheeky bugger! He actually corrected me! I don't bloody know, I'm not a policeman! Who actually knows the whole of that phonetic alphabet anyway! Alpha, bravo.. foxtrot..tango..zulu! Who even came up with that? I generally just use words from infant school 'A is for apple, B is for ball, C is for Cat....'
I have nothing to blog about, and when this is the case, I turn to shoes.
I have spent a fortune on shoes in the last week, but they are all lovely -of course! And I got some bargains! I got French Connection boots that were £170 for £57 -I almost cried! Good times!
There are some ugly shoes about though, I noticed this today while shopping in Kingston. So many horrible granny-like shoes that look like they're out of the Ladybird section at Woolworths -And all these pointless heels! I know I love my high heels but if its less than 2inches, don't bother! But at least gladiator sandals are being given heels now. THAT I can get on board with!
I know all this nautical stuff is in, but does there really need to be so much rope effect stuf (no, I don't know the name) and canvas used in them?
A lot of the platforms are annoying too, the heel isn't big enough for the platform so the shoe just looks long!
...and don't get me started on brogues and loafers!
At least now that summer's coming people will get rid of those Fuggs now!
I'm sorry, but I do not like snow. Basically what Scrooge feels about Christmas, I feel about snow! Bar Humbug! And I sympathise with the poor guy, no one else agrees! Everyone else loves it! Everyone's facebook status's are raving about the white stuf!
We've got a foot here and it's crazy. -Even got a mention in The Sun!
I generally hate being cold as it is, so snow isn't exactly my weather of choice!
Yea, it can look ok, and was fun when we were little and didn't have to go anywhere but outside to build a snowman, but now it's just hassle. All tubes, trains and buses were down, we can't leave the house and it's boring!
Yes, I'm off work til Thurs but I'm also going to be bored out of my mind! The worst bit is that all of my mates are at home too, there's just no way of getting to them! We're each stuck in our own houses bored. If we were all together it would be fine, I could cope with that.
I've been so close to spending a ridiculous amount of money online shopping just for something to do!
It's just cold rain that disrupts everyones day! The whole country is at a stand still! How come other countries can cope with it? Why can't we?
If I don't find something to do today I might go insane...or I'll just rant more on here, and we don't want that!
